"kk" on instant messengers?y dont they just say "k" is there a meaning or reason behind it?

Short for okay (ok)
Kk is believed to be quicker than typing ok as it is single repetition of one single key stroke. Basically the users are lazy.
But no there is no meaning behind the use of kk.

O the computer there is so many ways of chatting it is like a way of using short hand and making experssions with words. I guess to eachs own why.

I don't think there's much of an actual reason. It just caught on somehow.
