Although it must be hard on your mother, she has told you it's okay for you to get to know him. She has given you her blessing. She probably feels that you need to get to know him. It's okay that you want to.

Your mom sounds like a beautiful person who loves you. Let her know how wonderful she is. She wants what's best for you and she will always love you, no matter what.

Your mom is a smart woman.I think it would be helpful to her emotionally to know that you "acknowledge her feelings". Perhaps she does not want to interfere with the relationship between you girls and your brother but to her, he may be a reminder of your dad's unfaithfulness or maybe she really doesn't mind.Don't exclude her from your meetings, after all that is his step mom; If she says no, just continue to invite her and let her know how much you love her. Remember this was not your fault nor your brother's fault and it seems as though your mom knows this. Be thankful, I've known moms to wage war among siblings in incidents like this.

Your mom is a very strong and caring woman, I am sure he is a great guy, in reality you aren't doing any harm to your mom, but I don't see how or why I would want to have a relationship with this guy, I would want to protect my mom from any more heartache, even though it is not your half brothers fault, the way he came to be here on earth was a devastation and immoral way that broke your mom's heart, and I am pretty sure someone doesn't just get over something like that.

what you feel in your heart that is correct and makes it right, am a mom and my children have half brothers they never met do to their dad, I would like for them to meet after all they are family. Know in your case just talk to your mom, explain to her what you are feeling and am sure she will not have a problem with it, she sounds like a wonderful mother and I'm sure she will understand.

If for some reason it does bother just try to keep it touch with your brother by phone, e-mails until your mom comes along.

Good luck.

You're half brother did not pick his parents, it's not his fault that your dad cheated on your mom. If your mom doesn't have a problem with you getting to know him, you shouldn't either.

No you area not wrong to know someone who is part of your father. Your Mother has given her blessings for you to do so. Its natural to feel this as we all still listen and feel our inner child and look to our parents for approval. Good luck on your relationship with your new found family.

no you are not doing her wrong, if your mom says it is OK than it is OK. But if you feel bad talk to your mom about it and see what she says and if she says it is all right then it is all right.
