I dont get it

I thought it had something to do with disrespecting people who have labor jobs

I think it refers to white pants, meaning that white is more of a "summer" color...I guess we are supposed to dress dark and depressed in winter LOL!

you can wear white during the spring and summer but not ofter labor day. Its an older tradition from the 50's through the 80's. In the 90's people started to largely ignore it.

it is a fashion rule
fall colors are not white and labor day is the kickoff of fall/school activities

people say that u shouldnt wear white after labor day cuz its asummery and happy color ...actually..white is probably the funnest color for winter time beacause it brightens up the gloomy weather..it doesnt realy mean anything and no one even follows the rule.

after labor day its bad (in fashion) to wear white pants or shirts, but after easter then you can. I dont kno its a really studpid rule and frankly ( I DONT FOLLOW IT)

It means someone had nothing better to do with their time than come up with that stupid rule. Personally I dont follow it, I wear what I want, when I want.
