I am not a feminist...

Examples would be...opening doors for me, car doors, buildings etc.; treating me to coffee, lunch etc.; when walking on curbs making sure you are on the outside of me closest to cars as to be protecting me...you know like my grand dad did...old school. hmmm what else, love cards, love letters, home made coupons of love...like good for an hour massage (by the giver of coupons), good for one night of dinner & movie, good for one car wash...things like that...ya know. I love just being treated like a lady is the best....love it!

I think I prefer being treated with common courtesy. I think the whole running around the car to open a door, when I'm capable of doing it myself, is a little silly. However, having a door held is nice. On the other hand, if a man has stuff in his hands, I'll hold the door for him...just seems reasonable.

You'd have to define feminist for me.

Do I believe in equal pay for equal work? Yes. If a woman and a man both have a masters in engineering from the same university, and the same experience...they should get the same wage. Do I believe in comparable salaries? No. I think school teachers or nurses of either gender make enough money.

Do I think women should be allowed to do anything they qualify for? Absolutely. That includes play pro-football if they're as good as a man.

So, am I a feminist?

I dont necessarily need to be treated like a lady, I mean I am not nazi about it, but I do find it hard to like a guy who ignores those little gestures that are most always appreciated. That tells me that he is a whiner and has zero class. No I am not a feminist.

No, I want to be treated with respect. I don't expect people to hold doors for me and shi*. I can do that on my own. I don't like guys who want to pay for me or "protect me". I'm not a baby, and I don't need to be treated like china, but I do require respect and honesty.
Oh, and I'm not a feminist, I'm equally concerned about women's AND men's issues.

Yes, I do like being treated like a lady: Respected, not being talked to with gross or inappropriate words, having a door held open for me, and not being asked to do anything that would violate my purity.

No, I am not a feminist, but I do believe in the Bible "Husbands love your wives as Christ loves the church....Wives, submit to your husbands."

Not a feminist! But yes treated like a lady usually is a good thing. To treat a woman like a lady is to respect her and not use her for sexual purposes only-do nice things for her. Some women are not very lady-like so when they act like hoochies they get treated like them.

I will start with question 2: I do consider myself a feminist.

I do enjoy being treated like a women - I am dating a man who opens doors, and is basically very old fashioned. I do enjoy it because I see it as respectful and sweet.

I'm not a feminist, and I like to be treated like a lady. I like being treated with respect and not like I'm a tramp, which is why I try to dress modestly.

Yes and yes! Any show of compassion and manners is points to you. I'm all for holding doors, though I think women can do it too.
The one thing - make sure it's about HER, not her body. Keep compliments about her body specifically way down; it makes us feel like we're on show or something, or for sale. When it gets into basic cat-calling it can feel cheap and awful.
Good luck with the ladies :)
