My fave team is the Twins. They don't go out and buy good players like the Yanks (ick!!) or Red Sox. The Twins have a low budget but are always pretty competitive. They show what true baseball is all about - winning by pure talent and not by money. Just seeing them win the central division last year showed that. My fave player is either Johan Santana or Joe Mauer. Go Twins!! World Series this year!! I hope the Yanks choke again.

Been a Yankee fan since 1977, because going to Yankee Stadium was the first sporting event I went to. Thurman Munson, Nettles, Guidry (Louisiana Lighting), and the Goose where my favorites from this era.
Current era- Mariano Rivera, I always felt the closer was always overlooked plus the fact Bill James is wrong on his closer theory.

Placido Polanco and the Detroit Tigers.
Since he joined this team, the improvement started.
Does all the little important things. Moves the runner, puts the ball in play with two strikes. Not the most talented player by a long shot, but a great team player.

my favorite player is Derek Jeter and my favorite team is the New York Yankees. I like them because Derek Jeter produces so many big numbers for the Yankees that his batting average was of 343. and produced big numbers for the Yankees and on more thing who has 26 world series rings.

The New york yankees are my favortie team, Derek Jeter is my favortie player. Not only for his skill, but because he is a nice guy. I went to a game, and i asked derek for an autograph. He said " one minute", he did a quick interview, and he signed a ball for me, along with damon, brian cashmen(vice-president), al lieter and sal fasano. IN that game, don mattingly gave me a game used batting practice base ball. i talked to melky cabrera, and saw all of the players during the national anthem, that was the best, supporting our nation, and seeing my team, it was so cool. mariano Rivera is also one of my favortie players. I met him in the airport, and he signed my hat. My brother and i got a picture with him.
To your question, the yankees are in 1st in this spring traing, 10-5 .667

My favorite team is the Kansas City Royals. My favorite all-time player is George Brett, hands down. He is the greatest player in KC history. My favorite player on the roster from 2006 is Mark Teahan. He was one of the only bright spots we had on the team last year. I can't wait to see what Alex Gordon does though.

I like many sport figures. At this time, it has to be Fernando Alonso Team Mercedes/Maclaren F1. He has chocked the world by beating Shumie two year in a row. To the point of making the mith of Shumie disappear to retirement. The bigger they are the harder they fall. It was about time to put a stop to him. He was the reason the sport of F1 almost disappear from the radar. Alonso has made this sport a watchable sport for years to come.

My favorite team is the yankees and i like cano, jeter, melky, pettite, and mussina. but i have to say my favorite player is carl crawford because he is so fast and an all around player and plays for the worst team in baseball and is still one of the top outfielders

In (Basketball), I LOVE Duke and Coach Mike Krzyzewski! Coach K ALL THE WAY! :) I just fell in Love with the first Duke game I ever saw. Live at Cameron Indoor Stadium and the Cameron Crazies going wild, like I said, Love at first sight! Woo! Duke lost last night to VCU. :( Very sad, BUT, we have next year hopefully to continue to get better and better. I'd Love for Duke to schedule teams like Kansas, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, KENTUCKY for sure! Florida, the hardest teams we could possibly play each year but I respect Coach K and Duke University and my favorite player would be J.J. Redick! God bless friends!! And remember, Let's Go Duke!

Cleveland Indians! and i have to say i can't choose just one fav player so i have to choose two Pronk and Grady! i rly like Hafner, i have no idea how he hits soo well he must put a lot of time and effort into it bc i no how hard it is to hit a baseball/softball let alone hit homeruns most of the time. and i don't just like Grady bc he is gorgeouse, but hes a rly good outfielder too and i no how hard that is bc i play center so i have much respect for him.
