You are taking a really big step into your life and i am wishing you and your girlfriend the best of luck. Marriage is hard weither you are opposite sex or same sex. If you are both ready to be in a commited relationship of love, trust, and commitment then here are a few places you can go. Massachusettes has recognized same sex marriage since 2004. Conneticut , Vermont, New Jersey and California has legal unions for same sex couples. Although this is not called marriage, it does give many of the same rights to couples that married couples have. I wish you much luck and happiness. Remember to laugh and to always remember to have good communication. You and your partner will make it through anything as long as you love each other .

Canada. Although it's isn't recognized in the US, you are legally married in Canada, even if you are not a resident. However, in order to get a divorce in Canada, you must be a resident for 18 months.

I think it's now legal for the same sex to get hitched. Way i see it the same sex couple can now adopt a child so why not marry as well.

Canada.
Because unless you live in Massachusetts, your marriage won't be recognized anywhere in the USA. Backwards nations are like that; they don't grant basic human rights to everyone equally.

Why do you want to get married...God will not recognize it and the government will take advantage of it...So I really do not see the purpose...I am not anti-homosexual, I just do not understand why your love is not enough and you need marriage to justify your relationship...the government will take more money away from you.
