I guess by your question you are a Mass Murderservative, because pro lifers are responsible for the death of actual living and breathing Children. There may be a question of whether a fetus is a life, but the children killed by the Conservative Christians are living, loved and alive. Each time a pro lifer "saves" a fetus he condems to death 12 loved and wanted children. That is because the resources that are required to "save" an unwanted fetus could better be used to feed a loved and wanted child. Click on my avatar and read my questions and answers to see how these lying and murdering pro lifers have got the public fooled.

The law protects the right to life of PERSONS. The question of what constitutes personhood is in dispute. When the Constitution was written, slaves and Native Americans were less than whole persons under law.
Today most people are inclined to say personhood begins at birth. The claim that personhood begins at conception is a bit weird and comes only from religion.
The rights of personhood are and always have been limited - you can't drive at 12, drink in a bar at 16, or vote at 17, or become president of the US at 25. The society, not the church, decides.
Execution of a criminal is dealing with a person. If there is any doubt tha the accused is mentally competent as a person to know right from wrong, this will be considered. But no embryo so far as I know has ever been realistically given the rights of personhood - if it were, why not grant votes to embryos?
In every society, the decision on when personhood is achieved is decided by society. It is not a universal absolute. It is not a religious issue. Society decides to grant or withhold personhood.

Technically, a lethal injection is a medical procedure.
But they are different because......in terminating a pregnancy, the individual who is having the procedure performed is the mother, who is the one having the procedure done on herself. With her consent.
As opposed to the lethal injection, which is being done at government orders, usually without the consent of the person on the table.
So, again, the issue is who gets to decide whether the medical procedure gets performed -- the govt or the person.

Executions ARE a medical procedure. A doctor administers the drugs. This is a poor analogy.

Sure it's a medical procedure....fixing the end result of not having had the previous procedure...you know guys either life has value or it doesn't. I mean really pro-lifers look more ridiculous supporting the death penalty than those liberals of us who support it.

well in the most basic form they both are medical procedures since both are done by doctors but the difference is who decided they wanted it done and the fact one is on a grown individual and the other just a cell formation

many people believe that executions are murder, including most countries of the world.
a country that allows the death penalty has no business even thinking about abortion.
1 in 4 american women will have an abortion in her lifetime.
worldwide the average is ONE PER WOMAN!
looks like the jokes on you!

What's wrong with eating babies? They taste alot like chicken. They are real easy to kill and skin. But your right abortion isn't a medical procedjure it is a harvest. Haven't you ever eaten a fetus. They fry up real nice.
