I would recommend you replace your power supply .. This recommendation is cause if the power supply fan is not turning on then your power supply has over heat and burned out voltage coils and other internal parts. thus making your computer reboot ever 10 or 20 minutes.

STOP, DO NOT PASS GO.
If your fan is out then when the supply gets hot it can mess your motherboard up.
Run Belarc to see what power supply you have inside to get another one.
INFORMATION SITES
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html -- info on computer inside

Then go to cnet and they have a section on how to replace a power supply.
Check the download section at these sites for some free downloads. Also bookmark them and you can learn about computers.

Then you can do this for fun. Figuring out what you need.
POWER SUPPLY CALCULATOR

Now a piece of advice that you will read, just in case you say too much trouble. When you take the side panel off to view your power supply. Try and get one a little bigger. Especially if you have added a bigger video card or added a disk drive. So if you have 350 get a 450. Reason, is you will not run it that hot for one thing. So if you were to need 300 Watts of power, then on the 350 you are running it at a 86% load and on the 400 Watt it is running at a 66% load. Then if you ever add something else you have the power available too.

I imagine that the power supply is overheating because of the fan not running, and that causes the computer to crash. I would definitely replace the power supply.

Yes replace your powersupply, it is crashing because the power supply is over heating. Stop using the computer until you get it replaced, otherwise it will start to affect the rest of the system's components also

You are correct....!
The power supply fan is not working means the components of the power supply get too hot and its starts malfunctioning. due to that reason only your machine gets hangs and rebooting...! frequent rebooting makes your computer crashing. So try to change the fan immediately

without the fan the PC is overheating and crashing. when it cools off it works again. You should check the other fans in the machine as well. Replace the power supply.

cutting-aspect sturdy high quality PSU have potential fan administration, so it in undemanding words kicks in at the same time as necessary. The corsair is a sturdy high quality form so i'm particular that's appearing as meant. Ramp up the potential and play some video clips or video games and the fan ought to start up because it heats up. I easily would not recommend sticking a finger or pen interior inspite of the potential disconnected, there are some very tremendous capacitors that protect severe voltages inspite of the potential off HTH David
