I did with my oldest son.. Do you bleed everyday? 4 months is an awful long time to be bleeding still but if your Dr is aware than they must not be concerned.. Just watch it..

Bleeding is not normal, get a second opinion! Who cares if people perceive you as paranoid or too worried, doctors should have a good answer for you or you should be monitored closely....bleeding is not normal. The doctors told me the same thing, because I had had a leep done on my cervix, they said it was just irritated and would bleed due to that. THEY NEVER CHECKED IT AGAIN and I lost that baby after bleeding from 13 weeks till I was 22 weeks. Sometimes it was a little, sometimes a lot. I'm not saying this to scare you, but to motivate you to get a second opinion!

You are at that point where your danger period is nearly over. If the doctors aren't worried then you shouldn't be, as this can put more pressure on the baby.
Although I didn't bleed with #1, and I have with #2, and I am only 20 weeks. It is scary and I know what you are going through, but try and relax and when you do sit down put your feet up above your pelvis. This apparently helps.
Good Luck

Yes I did start hemorrhaging with my first baby and my doctor put me in the hospital on complete bed rest for 4 days.
So if its not too bad that he will admit you into the hospital, that is what I would do. Lay around for as long as you can until it stops. Don't answer the phone, the door, cook, get a bedpan, not exaggerating. We did OK. She is now 30 yr old.and beautiful.
Of course if it worsens go back to your doctor. I will say a prayer for you both.

when I was 8 weeks pregnant I had a subchorianic bleed. I had to have an ultrasound to get it dignosed, but the baby and I are both fine and going onto 17 weeks. I hope the same type of thing happens to you and it turns out to be (SCARY) but nothing.

Hi, i was 4 months also when i started bleeding heavily bright red blood no cramping. I was scared out of my mind that something was wrong with my baby. They found out my placenta was low and that is what caused the bleeding. Have your docs check your placenta. If it's low, then it should move up. Congrats :)

You should trust your doctor; that said, the first sign of my miscarriage was a steady, light bleed. My friend however, had a "gusher" of blood but her baby was fine. Go figure.
