There is this man in the UK that crafts minute silver figures and one is that of a camel needle going through the eye of a needle. It is not visible to the naked eye and can onlybe seen through a magnifying glass. His work started out as a hobby and now it is how he earns a lucrative living. With thiese fine pieces being shown at Tate Modern and other galleries throughout Europe.

The first person to find out this man's name will get the ten points.

In biblical times walled cities had a large main gate that was closed at sundown and on the sidewalls there were small easily defended gates that could be opened with little effort or danger. These small gates were commonly called the eye of a needle because of the size and shape.A camel could be made to 'kneel' then unloaded it's load carried through and the camel itself could be made to crawl through on it's knees then reloaded.it was a laborious process.that was what Jesus meant when he said something about the diffaculty of a rich man entering the kingdom of heaven.

I know everybody is saying this is about Jesus, but it's not! (Even though I love Jesus!)

it's about a bloke, who carves stuff on things like grain of sand and sugar.... it's amazing - I went to an exhibition of his years ago... Willard Wigan, or something like that. He did things that were the smallest sculptures I've ever seen.... and yes, one was a camel going through the eye of a needle!

Good question, though!

Yes , of course It can. It's not talking about a sewing needle. This needle is what we refer to as a door. A small opening to what we call a barn. They must get down almost on their knees to enter through.I have seen them do it. I once thought as you do. Until I saw this.

Yes my hubby bought me a necklace, that had my name inscribed on a grain of rice and held in preserving liquid and a small capsule. You can see it through magnification. Whilst on holiday last year.

That's the point. However, I don't think Jesus was saying that all rich people will go to Hell, he was saying that all people who are materially wealthy and don't live for Christ, but instead indulge themselves with their wealth are going to Hell. But even they can be forgiven if they turn from their ways. Jesus doesn't tell anyone "You're going to Hell and there's nothing you can do about it". If that were the case, his death and Resurrection would have been for nothing. We all have a chance to follow him.
