okay, so i'm going to be trying out soon. and well i was talking to my big brother who's a junior, and well i'm in 8th grade and am going 2 try out for the JV squad for highschool. but my brother said taht there's a lot of girls who r kindda bad and make bad choices... i don't think he really knows what he's talking about. but if i was selected to be on the squad... couldn't i change the reputation? (if there is even is 1)

Not neccesarily because even though your on the team doesnt mean you have to associate with the scandelous or slutty one outside of games and practices. So pretty much just be careful who you hang out with not only cheerleaders but any one you meet in life.

I think that you should learn quickly that reputations develop because boys talk. Cheerleaders are like anyone else---they can be "good" girls or "bad" girls. Choose your friends wisely and if you want to join the cheerleading squad, talk to your parents to see if they are willing to allow you to do so. Then go for it if you want. Every experience in life is what you make of it.

Alot of cheerleaders become sluts because they feel like its part of the big popularity thing. You can be who you want to be. And by the way, cheerleaders aren't the only ones that make bad choices, people just notice it more because they are popular. Don't think you have to sleep with the jocks to be a cheerleader. That is bull crap.

No, because the people before you will always make the rules. Even though you can get sucked into it you can still be yourself.You just don't want to get caught into things you normally wouldn't do.

i don't know about JV but the varsity cheerleaders is ho3's or me and a whole bunch of other boys could just be ho3's
