Depending on what you want to know about it, you can always go to bands individual websites. Try using Myspace and searching under the Music link for bands. That is if you want to know things about the actual bands/groups playing the music. You can also get a magazine subscription like Revolver (www.revolvermag.com). It only costs I think $12 a year. Plus, they have a poster and some stickers in there almost every issue. There's plenty of forums as well. Try www.urban.chaos.videos.com.
Otherwise, just type in the search box the specific thing you wanna know.

try www.purevolume.com or www.launch,yahoo.com... they both have catagories which include tons of artists and songs in that catagory. I definately feel your pain, it took me a while to find these. Hard Rock, metal, punk rock, old school are all my favs. xo!
