I'm 17 year old male and I have problems with my hands, they are always cold sometimes they even look purple? This has been going on for a while. My hands are especially cold in winter even if I'm in the house the whole day. Not enough Iron in my blood or something? One of my friends said I should consider going to the doctor? Also my wrist on my left hand hurts everyone once and a while and I can't bend my wrist very far when this happens. Pain soon goes away in a day or two but I have no idea what causes it in the first place?

I have long arms (if that helps with anything) (height 6 ft) (weight 163lb)

Sometimes called Raynaud's or Renaud's Syndrome. You might want to look this up on the web.
If your doctor doesn't find anything that classifies as a "disease", then this is what's called in Ayurveda a "Vata" imbalance. Vata is associated with lightness, quickness, dryness (dry skin in winter!) thinness, roughness and coldness. It pretty much goes hand in hand with being tall and slim. This especially happens around winter time during "Vata" season, when the cold/dry weather increases those qualities in our own bodies (male and female.)

hey there! well i know exactly what u mean, because I have the same problem. you most likely have a syndrome known as Raynards diease, my hands are ALWAYS purple, and when other ppl touch them, they always make comments on how cold they are. they also get very achey, and make me feel crippled. There are no treatments for this yet, but keeping them warm is the best thing to do. (considering some people with this diease are known to loose fingers and toes later on in life) well I hope this helps =] try reasearching it sometime, or go see a specialist in rheumatord arthoritis. (since this is who deals with it) Good luck !

The same thing happened to me when I was in high school and is still happening. When spring comes around and it gets warmer the cold hands and purplish color goes away. When I was in my early 20's a doctor told me I have Reynauds syndrome. You should see a doctor to find out for sure what's going on.
