I was top student in English. My English is perfect and no i don't use the spelling checker. My internet is Mozilla Firefox so it corrected stuff for me but that wasn't underlined red so that wasn't wrong so i went along with it. No one is perfect and i typed in like a million things today and then people YET have the audacity to answer my question by insulting me even though i said English was my third language. Here is the question if you want to check it out; http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuoVhcqp2qRFqeP.VR6l3C8AAAAA?qid=20070316141109AAkrwSp
Oooooh poor me.. Look THAT is what a day of tiredness and illness does to you as well as having typed a million things up in a day. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. We all make mistakes, who doesn't?

It was a slip of the finger. The 'e' and 'r' are right next to each other. It's quite easy to hit the other letter. Don't stress it.

Some people I think just like to pick faults. I am not a good speller but I have other gifts like art. Some times I get answer about my spelling and it annoying.
If it late at night I make mistakes and press the button before I realize it was wrong.

Those people that look for little mistakes that others make are just trying to take the attention off of thinking about all of their mistakes! Sometimes when I am on IM after working all day , my friends and I will have a good laugh at my typing, I say I am typing chinese! lol

The primary reason people were getting down on you was, not so much your grammer, but the question itself.
They felt (rightly) that you were insulting their playground, and in a back handed way, themselves.
That is why they chose to point out your rather blantant grammical error.
Everyone makes typos and usually, in this sort of forum, they are ignored, however, they used that to strike back at you for what they percieved as an insult.

A: Yes, it sucks that they attacked your grammar. No one is a perfect speller. Unless your a dictionary.
B: You asked what many could consider an offensive question, and then left them an opening. Sling the sh*t, get ready to handle the poo.
C: No one likes a whiner, get over it. The internet is full of idiots and swine, what you asked just attracted the worst of them. (The internet gives a voice to the stupid).

I agree on the Evolution of Vernacular - and use of Acronyms - which has been around for some years - as substantial individuals to undesirable spelling. it is annoying for me to Criticize nevertheless, using fact my spelling has "fallen-off" extraordinarily - it rather is embarrassing. i think of for me, it rather is using (thank you LW :) - loss of practising appropriate spelling and based too plenty on Spell Checker with the intention to "bail" one out. the only time that anybody of any age ever gets "noted as" on incorrect spelling - is college Papers or Having a job, the place suited spelling is important. different, than that - i've got faith that there is a vital share (which comprise myself, especially cases) is on LAZINESS... If society is getting much less Strict approximately spelling properly, "why ought to some people hassle?" -- it rather is rather unhappy. I DO think of we would desire to constantly provide a wreck whilst somebody Posts a question - in view that there is not any thank you to bypass lower back an Edit & especially cases someone gets "excited" and types too quickly (hi, Me !!). in any different case - it could be constructive if those people who do get Lazy, could make one extra attempt to spell Our Language, properly. next difficulty - GRAMMAR !! :)) .

You're better than what or whom? Everybody I suppose. What an arrogant position you have taken. It's all right though. I guess it's okay for you to take shots at others although they aren't allowed to mention spelling errors. You have nice day

What you don't understand is that the more you harp on it the more people will purposely try to correct you because they know that it bothers you. Just let it go and stop worrying so much about what other people think.
