yes I buy it regularly from the same guy, I live in the north west so it is the edition for this area. It's not a bad magazine, lots of what is on in the area and eco friendly articles.
I like it. Not full of shallow glossy ads and size zero bimbos.

Yes, I often buy one from legitimate sellers & there's usually something worth reading in it. Some of the sellers are quite friendly & will have a chat with you. Watch out for the con artists who just have one copy - if you buy it, they will ask for it back so they can just collect loads of money - they are not genuine vendors & give the real ones a bad name. The real ones should be on an authorised patch, have a badge & never ask for more than the cover price of the magazine.

If you buy this magazine you are not just giving somebody your money to buy drugs or alcohol that you may have been thinking of buying for yourself.
Get involved!
There are a number of ways that you can get involved with the magazine. Most importantly you can buy the magazine weekly, out every Monday, from one of the vendors across the country. You can promote your business through the range of advertising services, or take out a subscription for your business or as an individual. There are also opportunities to volunteer or to gain work experience. The promoters are also looking for professional journalists and illustrators to contribute regularly to the magazine.

I buy it every time I see a seller, but must admit to not reading every article in every copy I bought!
On saying that, I have read many interesting articles in it though!
I never, ever pass a big issue seller, hand on heart, even though I do not read all the mag!

Yes, its really interesting.. if your into issues such as mental health, developing countries and of course homelessness.
Great for looking for health and social care jobs too..
The money isn't all going on drugs, the people who sell it are being closely monitored and helped to get out of their homeless situation by big issue workers.
Always make sure the person has a badge- I used to be friends with a homeless guy who had his magazines stolen on a regular basis so other people could sell them.

There was a Big Issue seller trying to get rid of her last copy. I said. ' here you are love, I'll buy it so you can finish and get off home'
I immediately felt awful at what I just said but she saw the funny side.
Bugger all in the magazine tho
