The chevy fuel pump has a problem in the wiring, this is a problem with all late model chevy trucks. Your local parts store has a fuel pump pigtail kit that ie recomended with all new fuel pump replacements. If your truck is running good then all you have to do is replace the wiring at the fuel tank.

Yes, most likely the ground wire near the gas tank. Take it off and rough up the wire end and the spot it connects to with a piece of sandpaper and try it. Might work. If not, more investigation is needed.

The fuel level sensor is the most likely cause.there is a service bulletin to address this issue.seen this problem many times
