If a gay American citizen marries a gay citizen from another country in Massachussetts, would this man be given the right to get a type of visa that would allow him to stay legally in the US?

I doubt it unless you received aid possibly thru a Congressmen {{Franks} The Federal Government is in charge of immigration and does not recognize same sex marriage. I live in Jersey where we have just been given all the rights without the title. I was thinking it would make a great Court case for the Feds rejecting recognition. In a sense it would be like denying State's Rights. That holds true for States like California where marijuana is legal for medical reasons and the Feds are charging people with Crimes.
I would suggest that you marry and contact your Congressmen and state your case. He may help.

I believe that the laws regarding gay marriage to foreign citizens would be the same as any other marriage to foreigners. At least they should be subject to the same laws with no differences. I do not have any idea what the law in Massachussetts is.

No, cuz it'snot FEDERALLY recoginized. Only in the state of Massachusetts. That sucks. Hopefully gay marriage will be legal everywhere, soon.

I have nothing against gay marriage, but it just don't seem right. I'm not putting down gay marriage, I'm gay myself. To me it just don't seems right.
