Connect the iPod to your laptop with the white cable that comes along. Takes about 2 to 3 hours to change. If you don't want to charge your iPod from your laptop, you have to buy a separate charger, somewhere between $20 to $40 if you want to charge it from a outlet. :)

Im not sure if your lap top will charge it , it has to be a USB 2.0 port if its not then you might have to either buy a seperate charger for it or use a friends computer . you can find chargers on Ebay at good prices and its worth having one anyway because it will give it a better charge

Nope doesn't matter that you have a laptop, you should have a white cable that came with it that connects to a usb port on ur pc and to you ipod. leave that plugged in for a few hours and that will do the trick!!

it should have come with a long cable that you connect to your ipod and to the usb port on your computer. leave it charging for at least 2 hours. then go to my computer and eject the usb port to disconnect it properly.
