At this point you are making GREAT strides.
Do like we do in AA in early sobriety. . . . when the craving comes up,postpone the cigarette for one hour.
After that one hour passes, postpone it for another hour and so on and so on.
Make the stand. . . just for today I am not going to smoke.
Pray to God to take away the compulsion to smoke. . . every morning and any time you desire a smoke.
Thank God every night for helping you to get through the day without a cigarette.
Try chewing some gum, eating some veggies (candy and just plain food helps too but can end up causing you to gain weight),
In early sobriety when I wanted to drink I began to realize that I needed a "safe" place. . somewhere I could go where I knew I would not be tempted to drink. . . . maybe you can do the same thing.

Congratulations on 2 weeks of not smoking and GOOD LUCK

If you quit, just take a deep breath and focus on something else for a minute. I t will pass. Don't start again. I have been smoking for 45 years and would give anything to quit, but I don't have the willpower. Good luck

I saw a report on ABC News that scientists have concluded that 5 minutes of walking or any other light cardio exercise can reduce withdrawal.

WHYNETTE,

JUST KEEP SAYING TO YOURSELF THAT YOU HAVE ADDED ON TO YOU LIFE DAILY. YOU ARE CHOOSING NOT TO CONSTANTLY COUGH AND ALWAYS HAVING TO BE CONCERNED WITH PEOPLE'S DISDAINS OF SMOKERS.
PLEASE DON'T MISUNDERSTAND, I PERSONALLY DO NOT HATE SMOKERS -- BUT I'VE PERSONALLY SEEN THE DAMAGE SMOKING CAUSES TO THE HUMAN LUNG WHEN I DISECTED A CADAVER WHOM DIED OF LUNG CANCER IN ANATOMY CLASS.
GIVING UP SMOKING IS THE BEST GIFT YOU GAVE YOURSELF. BE HAPPY!!!

universal truth. employers pay for employees to focus on work. no work no pay. replace employer and income with the resolve to improve your quality of life by NOT SMOKING.
When you focus your thoughts - meditate on it - think only of the best results of NOT SMOKING and you will not light up.
But, when you fail to focus on the RATIONALE - THE REASON for not smoking, the irrational mind sabatoges the body!
Meditate on not smoking! Focus your thoughts on all that is good NOT SMOKING! You can do it.
