I like this question. I think I'm getting better.
What do The Grateful Dead owe to The
Brothers Grimm? This took some homework.

I think this is a long shot, but I found one of the Grimm's Bros.. fairy tales that sounded an awful lot like "friend of the devil" I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but like I said, it was a long shot.

Well, The Dead's music is almost as mythically incredible as the Brothers Grimm's fairy-tales.
