I have had the problem for a long time now since I was 9 (I'm 11 now) and my joints in my fingers always hurt. My brother told me it was because I ate too much bread. What do you think please tell me either why they hurt a cure or even a good site to go to please help. Also the person with the best answer will get 5 stars!

As someone already said "your growing". Growing pains are pretty common. Eat as much bread as you like. Eat a lot of oranges and have plenty of Vitamin C. In fact make sure you are eating well... lots of fruit and vegetables with that bread.

It is unlikely to be arthritic pain, given your age... but avoid cracking your knuckles... that can aggravate it.

First of all, someone your age is NOT likely to eat too much bread, unless that's All you eat. What you are describing sounds a lot like arthritis, which would really be unusual in some one so young. First try ibuprofen in the morning with breakfast. ( NEVER WHEN YOUR STOMACH IS EMPTY!!) you should take another one at night before bed, with a little snack, peace of toast or a Cooke and milk. Try this for a week. The pain should be MUCH less. If that doesn't help, fill a little juice glass 1/3 full of lemon juice ( sorry, no sugar!) then fill the rest of the glass full of COLD water, and drink it all once each day. This stuff will really taste aw ful, but if it doesn't help in three days, it isn't going to, so quit. I hope this helps!

you said your joints hurt. You could have children arthritis, I would mention it to your parents and have them talk to the doctor about this. What you could do in the meantime is take a couple ibuprofen, with your parents permission and see if that helps.. Good luck.

Yeah, probably the bread!
just kidding
Maybe rheumatoid arthritis?
A rheumatologist would be able to help you best, and a simple blood test can check for rheumatoid factor to rule out RA.

You could take calcium or glucosamine-it helps with your bones & joints. You are growing , but have your parents take you to the doctor for the best advice, you shouldn't have to suffer!

This may sound silly, but ask your brother to please gently massage (rub) your fingers for you. See if this helps.
Also, drink less soda & a lot more water. Well-lubricated joints hurt less.
This stuff here (you'll probably have to ask your folks to buy it) really helps my joint pain go away...
