That's a good question. The universe is really really big, so there may not be any aliens anywhere nearby, assuming that they exist at all.

Of course, if there are aliens somewhere in the universe, they could be asking the same question, and concluding that we don't exist because we've never visited them, either.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

I don't know!

It's a legitimate question, but no proof of landing thus far. Nothing that stands up to scientific scrutiny.

Personally, I think our odds would be better to try and listen for them, perhaps a really GIANT dish on the far side of the moon, were it's nice and quiet from Earth noise, would be a good start to eavesdrop on ETI's radio leakage signals,

what do you mean we come from Aliens
from the Nordics ,who escaped from Mars before a cosmic colision that wiped out the planet and knocked it of its course

Atlantis was an Alien colony
the Nephilim in genesis were children of Aliens
and Genesis is full of Alien interventions

Angels were Aliens .the wings were symbolic of them coming from the sky

the Anunaki (the name means .those who descended from the heavens)were Aliens ,and they appear in the origin of almost all ancient civilizations ,Devils,Demons,Dragons and Serpents represent them.
the reptilian brain in our heads most likey is a souvenir of their genetics
the Inca were full of Alien stories and drawings and behaviour like the building of the Nasca figures
like the Brittish lime horse etc

there were at least 3 or 4 kinds of Aliens that have visited or colonised us

Christian religion is very strong against these notions ,almost too strong ,as if there was a powerfull brainwash program at work to hide the original origins of the homo Sapian because it would undermine the control if the truth ever came out

so how many Alien landings do you want

at times the mexican sky has been full of Ufos
in the present as well as in the past.

the Illuminati who control this planet are suposed to be partly Alien

Why settle for wondering about if they exist or landing on Earth and sign up for that SETI at home project that has been running so you can join in millions of other people and be the "first" to detect life elsewhere in the galaxy?

well, the universe is huge, so they may be out of reach. Our concept of aliens is only like a few thousand years old, traveling to our nearest star, not including our sun, is 4.3 light years away, with our fastest rockets would take like 70,000 years. So do not think that just because you are alive at this moment that al spectacular phenomena will occur during your life time.
