No he should not. Though he is a great player , he is in a slump and it takes time to get back in form . WC is a place to perform and not to wait and see if one can get back in form.
So now we can only pray that somehow magically he gets his form back and he becomes something more than a superstar liability to the Team.

His performance in the recent past does not deserve him a chance in the team. However, he has been selected in the team based on his past performance and records and with a hope that he will regain his form and start firing in the world cup
