So different from American beaches where there is mostly sand.

Are those differences correct? I would find it uncomfortable to relax on a beach with rocks or pebbles. Wouldn't you?

There are certainly *some* sandy beaches in Europe but we do have pebbly ones too, and you're right of course, they do tend to be uncomfortable. Actually, the best surface to lie on, better than pebbles *or* sand, is fine shingle, because it moulds itself to the shape of your body very well.

Your Correct. the Mediterranean is calmer than the atlantic and the pacific. So the rocks haven't been smashed into sand by the ocean in Europe. However there are many man made sand beaches in Europe, and some natural ones.

The are lots of sand beaches in Europe too. It just depends. You should try pebbles - they really aren't that bad you know.

There are sand beaches in Europe, but yes, many are rocky. The beach in Nice is all stones, for example. They set up little cots generally on those beaches.
