i see a lot of americans replied to steph j,s question.how can you say usa is the most charitable country in the world,who do you give to?the widows and orphans youve made,lets be honest americas main contribution is murder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is NO American charity where there is no political interest - no matter how small that ambition. None whatsoever. I'd love to hear of ONE instance where the charitable contribution was not politically motivated. So, does America GIVE? yes. Charitable? I don't think so. Charity implies a certain purity of motive.

While I was in America a few years ago I spent the afternoon with a lady outside a supermarket collecting for the womens refuge. so i suppose locally there are as many charitable concerns as we have, but I dont know about any on a national scale. btw very few people gave anything, youd have thought we were invisible.

well if ur talkin about a soldiers, they chose to join the military. Not the bullet or bomb that killed them but they chose to go to africa, indonesia, south america....ect... to help them out in there time of need then those peole killed them.
Americans are to generous personally! if we wouldnt have gave millions of dollars to 3rd would countries and food to many who are in need...then our boys would be home backin me up on this instead of in arlington

Well, we didn't invade a foreign country today or replace a democratically elected leader with a fascist...so I guess thats generous of us!!!!
