does anyone work in the field of sonography? if so, how has the experience been so far? do you choose your own hours? does it pay well, etc.? if one was considering to get an associates in sonography, any advice you'd give them?

Dated an ultrasonographer once.

She liked the work - interesting stuff particularly because the art to being a good sonographer means a lot of knowledge of anatomy as well as good people skills and good working knowledge of physics.

Hours were a bit sucky - early shifts and late shifts at a tertiary hospital - on calls for nights - this wasn't too bad if you are in a place with lots of ultrasonographers.

Pay seemed to be okay. Not huge, but enough. She was buying her own house.
