Actually It began like this, they limited the speed firs from 100kbps to 80 and finally to 30kbps, guys my speed sucks, do you know anyway to increase or manipulate it. any help would be greatful...

try breaking into the router,
try http://192.168.1.1
user: admin
pass: admin

did they tell you the slowed the speed down or did it just happen because some one else might be using the bandwidth

You know.. internet service isn't free. Especially high bandwidth stuff like they have at universities. hmmm maybe that's why the university is cutting back on bandwidth -- so they don't have to raise your tuition another $1000 a semester so you can download movies and music... Hmmm...

You should thank them for not raising your tuition...

Nope, nothing you can do if you use the universitie's network to get to the internet.

However, you might be able to order DSL and pay for it yourself through your room's phone line.

Otherwise the U has you by the B's

The wireless connection is slower than your normal connection. As more people log on the wireless it gets even slower. If you are using wireless then use the normal. If there normal connection sucks then you have no choice.

there is nothing you can do. it's not yours to begin with and the university has the control not you.
