Bacteria are tiny organisms; there are 2 kinds: archaebacteria and eubacteria. They are prokaryotic, unicellular, and can be either heterotrophic (feeds on other organisms) or autotrophic (can self feed, like photosynthesize). Eubacteria evolved after archaebacteria, and they have different RNA. Archaebacteria has a cell wall, while Eubacteria does not have one. There are 3 bacterial shapes: cocci, little grape-like clusters; spirilla, spiral shaped strands; and bacilli, longer rods of bacteria. Bacteria are able to thrive in the human body and cause disease because they multiply quickly. They also are the cause of disease- but can prevent disease as well, in the form of antibiotics. Bacteria are part of the life cycle, and can fight other bad bacteria. Hope this helps!
