I teach in a middle school. I've got book smarts and I've got street smarts. I graduated from high school with honours and attended university on academic scholarships. I have two university degrees. I teach Language Arts and I have industry knowledge, as I've had several pieces of writing published and I've won national writing awards. However, I can manage in almost any situation. I've lived in foreign countries, traveled to developing nations on my own and fended off male attackers on two separate occasions. I know how to stay out of debt, how to parallel park and the words to most of the songs on the Billboard music charts. I'm smart where it counts and where I need to be. I'm not pretending to be good at Physics or to speak fluent Japanese.

I was a public school teacher, and the stupid teachers really got on my nerves, because they were the only ones who were successful. They would do anything they were told to do. Anyone with a brain got blackballed for disagreeing with the administrators for making us 'teach the test.'

I am a public school teacher. I am not stupid, but in some areas I may be uninformed/ignorant. Teachers are usually specialized in a particular area and would be considered an expert but in other areas they are not.
