Seem to think the only way to show pride in their own country is to put down another and throw childish insults about other cultures?
I have my own thoughts but im wondering do some people really believe that this type of behaviour shows true ''patriotism''?

No your absolutely right. Patriotism is suppose to be achieved from within not criticizing other cultures or countries.

Pride in one's country doesnt include the put-down of another, so I would see this as arrogant and the fooling of oneself.
