I think everyone is proud of their origins...
I am Lebanese, and very proud of it.
This doesn't mean it's the first thing i tell people when i meet them, but if someone asks me about Lebanon and how the people are over there, i will instantly answer them, without shame. Even if we've been through wars, and the country is half destroyed and still falling apart, i think that we, Lebanese, are just proud that we're still standing. We're also very thankful...

My very-advanced intution tells me that we will soon be receiving an oh-so-negative answer by a man, whose name starts with a "M", ends with a "O" and has a "I" and a "L" in the middle... Shall i mention that the surname begins with an "F"?

Even though I am Israeli, my mother comes from Lebanon, so I'll take the liberty of answering the question. I think us Lebanese have much to be proud of, and this includes not being Arab. I know many nice Arab individuals, but I don't want to be associated with backwardness, repression, fanatacism, and Al Qaida. Thankfully I am part Lebanese!

we're proud of being Lebanese. Being arab is very broad, some arabs we're happy to associate with, others not so much.

Who did tell you that lebanese are arabs???
Some are, but the majority descend from the Phoenicians that werent arabs.Phoenicians were great navigators and made business all along the Mediterranean. Also they founded many cities along its coats.....as Cartago.well know in ancient times.
Arabs are the ones whose ancestors were from the tribes in the place today is known as saudi Arabia...they spread along Middle East, and gave their lang to almost all that zone................even to lebaneses. That is the only common thing that lebanese have with arabs
So.....if you ask me if i'm proud to be arab,, I have to reply that as i'm not arab..i havent to be proud of that. But,,,,,,,if you ask me if I'm proud to be lebanese .....I have to reply to you
VERY MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course! We are proud of it why shall not we proud of it. Arabs history and culture is known all over the world. But they say not all Lebanese are originally Arabs some came from Greece long time back, that's why you see some blonde people with blue eyes who are Lebanese.

Many of the Lebanese are in fact not Arab but Arab-Berber. Arab-Berber people are descendants of Europeans and North Africans (Arabs). Palestinians,Egyptians, Syrians, Iraqis, etc are Arabs. In response to being proud, I am sure their opinions vary.
