Forget the spin, the hidden taxes, the lords and sirs and butt kissing. The only 3 things that matter to a voter are

The interest rate: which affects are mortgages

The inflation rate: which affects are spending power

The unemployment figures: which affects us all

Considering Labour has a vastly superior average over 10 years on all these 3, compared to the 10 years the tories had previously. how can anyone be wanting a tory govt.?

And i know the health service etc is not as good as it could be, but it hasnt been upto proper standard for 20 or 30 years, not just the last 6 months.

The Health Service is a darn sight better than it was under the Tories. More doctors and nurses and Waiting lists down. and we're even just starting to see more NHS dentists coming on stream - after John Major virtually destroyed NHS Dentistry.

Your analysis of economic management is correct. I think this has been because Gordon Brown has resisted the temptation of his Tory predecessors to interfere in economic management. Giving independence to the Bank of England to set interest rates was probably the greatest achievement of any post war Chancellor.

I hate to sound pessimistic, but I swear they are all the same? I firmly believe that the raised taxes, the new laws and legislations etc would've happened no matter who is in power. A politician is a politician at the end of the day - I don't think who we vote for really matters!

I agree with the little whatsit by the way, global warming is a theory with no evidence to back it up, this all happened 400 years ago just like now, and it happened long before that too. The earth changes temperature because that is how it keeps its biodiversity, think of the ice ages.

Labour are ruining this country slowly but surely and if we don't get rid of this party of envy and greed then there will be nothing left to govern. They tax tax tax and fritter all the money away. The hardworking people of this country are being trampled by this goverment .Let's face it any gov. who spends billions on an Olympic stadium that no one really wants and believes that Global warming is real ,must be a bunch of morons. My theory is they will make us all use those disgusting energy saving light bulbs and when we all save money on our electricity bills they will raise the vat on our bills.
