Sleep is not overrated. It is critical to functioning well. Sleep requirements vary by individual. I've always required 9-10 hours of sleep to feel rested. Get the amount of sleep that makes you feel rested.

I don't think it is overated but I do believe everyone's individual needs for a certain amount of sleep a night differs. You should at least try to get 7 or 8 hours.

I think it is=some people need only 4 to 5 hours sleep=where others need up to 12 hours sleep=it all depends on that person body rhythm

scientists are trying to eliminate the need for sleep, but so far they have concluded it's harmful to stay awake for more than 48 hours consecutivley. 8 hours (of sleep not awake time :p) is the suggested amount for a guy your age, but one in a thousand people can actually function properly on a couple of hours a night . . . . true story . . .

No! I love sleep! Sleep is crucial for you to survive.....and the awesome dreams you can dream. I am 23 and try to get at least 8 hours sleep everyday. My body and mind need it.
