Can anyone provide a link or some sort of proof? I've heard this used in anwers lately and wonder if its true. If he said this, I think he should be impeached for blasphemous speech. Thats like a christian reffering to the bible as "just a book". (I'm not a christian, but you get the idea.) Its the god damn basis for our country!

There was a meeting back in 2005, where numerous people attended.

According to several people who were at that meeting, Bush asked if he could do something, and one of the lawyers present mentioned that it might be unconstitutional.

According to several people who were at that meeting, Bush replied something to the effect of "Stop throwing the Constitution in my face all the time. It's just a g*d*mn piece of paper".

I read the news articles, and the interviews with those people, shortly after it happened. I no longer have a link to those articles.

During a meeting with Republican Congressional leaders last month, in which they expressed concerns about renewing the Patriot Act, President George W. Bush reportedly espoused a very low opinion of the Constitution, calling it “just a goddamned piece of paper.”

Bush had the Constitution made into rolls of toilet paper for the Oval Office bathroom.

A far cry from the oath he took Jan. 20th, 2001.
