Because they are big headed, vein, conceited, inconsiderate, insecure, and so many other words to describe them. But yeah, those people are usually the peoples who are jealous.. or even spoiled. They may have the beautiful outside that everybody wants and desires.. but inside they are as empty as an orange box :)

Everybody is equal. But some people are better at some things than others. That's why they win awards and get better jobs. The trouble is, some people think that if they are good at some things, it makes them a better person. They're not better, ,just fortunate.
If you drew a scale from zero to 100, with the totally useless at zero, and the perfect-in-every-way at 100, you would find nobody in the top half, and the vast majority in the bottom ten percent.
In short, we are all so far from perfection, that it makes no sense to consider anyone better than anybody else.

Think about it...
Everybody should think of themselves as better. Everybody should value their own life higher than that of other people. People who BELIEVE that they are better than others, put a positive thought in mind. With time what you set yourself to be, will become a reality. These people are the ones who have better self esteem, and are usually happier than people who think that they are worthless, or just one of many. If you truly believe that you are better than you will be better because you will be happier & more confident.
Just think about it...

I think it is the way in which they are bought up. If given everything, do they then have anything to give??? The more richer people (i am not saying this about all rich people) are so is the attitude of You can't touch me or they are so busy keeping up with the Jone"S
they lose themselves. No one person is any better than anyone else.

because they are. think about it, some people are better than others. aren't you better than an abusive mother? aren't you better than the guy who cheats on his wife? aren't you better than the woman who threw her baby in the trash? well then you can also be better than the person who is immature, ignorant, selfish or unsuccessful. it sounds like snobbery but it's just common sense!

They're actually insecure, other people won't know this, and they may not know it themselves. They rock the whole superiority thing because they're lacking something in their lives. Take pity on them and pray that they'll find the missing puzzle piece in their life, and be proud that your not putting other people down for your own benefit.

Because at some point in their life someone told them that they were. Some whites were taught they were better. Some atheists "Think" they are smarter. Why they have been taught.

Often they just act that way because they are insecure or have an inferiority complex. No one human life is worth more than any other, IMHO.
