and change history...who would you be and why?

There are a few persons I feel I could be and change the past history of human beings.
You may say I am a bit weired, but one of them is Adolf Hitler.
It's because he was one of the worst persons who put millions of people into such a disastrous situation during the WW2.
If I could be him, I would not start invading Poland from the first place and certainly not start such a tragic war.

No one. You can't change history. You replace Hitler and someone much worse may come in his place. You will change history for the way that you would like history to be. However, down the line some leader could emerge that would make Hitler look like a saint.

I would like to have been the Emperor Constantine and correct the mistakes I made, Like telling the truth about Catholicism and not make it up as I went along just to suit my friends. The New Testament would look far more believable, but then again, as it is written, it's easier for the non thinkers to believe, so I reckon I'll shut up and just be glad to be me.

If you changed history, because of the way we all spread out and procreate and never know who we are related to, you could in effect, wipe yourself out this way... even to kill an insect, could be detrimental to you or anyone you know... if your great great great great Gran's cousin didn't die because she caught the black death from that bug, your great great great great gran would not have married the widower... and you would not be able to come back and see the changes you had made... because you would not exist:-)
