About The Sims...?

Question

I had bought an expansion pack called The Sims Deluxe Edition It came with The Sims (The original), The Sims Living Large, The Sims Creator, and Exclusive Deluxe Content. I then bought The Sims 2 Pet Version and The Sims Hot Date. I installed The Sims Deluxe Edition, but when I tried to install The Sims Pet Version it said I needed the Sims 2. So, I bought that and attempted installing it, the only problem is I bought it off of Ebay and I could never get my computer to recognize that it was in the Cd Thing. I kept trying to make it run and It wouldn't do it. Has anyone else tried to install the Sims 2 with The Deluxe Edition? Does it work and my Sims 2 disk was just bad? I'm really bummed out about not being able to play, so please help. Thank You!

Referring to the question below, I would have to buy all of the sims 1 series BEFORE i can install the sims 2?

I wouldn't trust Ebay computer disks. I would buy one at Best Buy or Wal-Mart or something like that!


The Sims 2 Pets is a different thing like you mentioned, and it requires the Sims 2.

The Sims Hot Date can be installed to only the Sims:Deluxe Edition. Here are the expansion packs for original Sims so you know what to do:

No, you wouldn't have to buy the original Sims. Sims and Sims 2 are completely different things.

You either play/buy the Sims or the Sims2. They are 2 different games. You cannot play or mix the 2 together, it will not work anyway.
Sims2 is just the latest game, the improved version of the original Sims game.

Original sims came with the deluxe edition, and you have to install the expansion packs in order.

if for example you buy vacation and you already have superstar installed, yo will have to uninstall it, and then install them in order.

Sims 2 are really less of the pain in the butt.

You have to have the original sims 2 then get and expantion pack.

if you get sims2 then insitall pets it should work

sims and sims2 are practicalt 2 different things

un-install the sims2 pets and any other sims2 things then install the originall sims2 and then install pets or wahtever
