Eh. An opinion rated question that you have decided already on what is the appropriate answer.
I'll agree that it is a nice sound, mostly. However, since it's not my type of music it will *never* be the most amazing sound to me, just another set of orchestrated notes, made to express someone's vision of beauty, but one that does not necessarily reflect my own.

Someone who has no appreciation for music or the work and passion involved with it all. It's sad to think there are some people who just don't get it. But there are. Hearing impaired are exempt from this opinion.
P.S. I just read another contributor's answer and have to agree there are some incredibly powerful sounds in nature. A cougar's cry, an elephant's trumpet ... but in the world of the western world's cultural arena, a full symphony can be darn amazing.

I agree. When the strings play, they can make me cry, or jump in excitement! Its amazing the feeling you get out of the sound, the feeling that the person playing is giving out into his or her music. Its takes a certain type of person to get appreciation out of an orchestra, and we are a minority these days.
