I struggle with my views that government is best left small and that it should stay out of social issues when many of my friends support a more liberal view. Much about liberalism disgusts me as much as conservative Christian views. What do you think?

conservative views are great.
it means less government intervention in one's personal life.
the christian right has hijacked the conservative movement
in the states. they are hypocrites that don't speak for me.
what ever happend to separation of church and state?

Sure you can. We all need to support political candidates who favor a smaller govt and want to get the govt and their rules out of our personal lives. Govt has no business regulating what they think right and wrong beyond the basics of violent crime and protecting property. The Republicans raised discretionary spending by 40% the last 12 years and created a regulatory Monster that is damaging our country for generations. We will all suffer and must rebel by voting to keep power hungry people like that out of govt and support those who believe in small, self government that favors freedom.

I'm with you. To me, it makes the most sense to be Libertarian if you are g/l because it keeps government out of the bedroom.
