i understand ur question ..and think about it often myself..but i dont believe in ONE true love..i really dont..
i mean i know someone who married her 'one' true love just out of high school..married for 13 years..happily.. then one day..he gets in an accident.. and dies!! 5 years later she meets her 'husband' now..and he's everything to her..and there very happy...some ask..whos her true love..her dead husband or her alive husband..
i choose not to see it that way....there BOTH her true love..
why, because we chose to love. and we love people in different ways..but its love just the same!
LOVE is not just a feeling..its an action...and for me..ive been lucky enough to love 2 men in my lifetime.. not to say it always works out..but its LOVE just the same!

There is never just one true love in your adult life. You could go through more than one. You might end up marrying a person who you think is your true love, but later on down the years you find out that you were wrong. We walk through life and don't really know what we want until we are ready to settle down with just that one person who could be your second one in life. Nothing stays the same people die and change through the years.

One True Love? No, I don't think so, at least I hope not. I thought I found her, now after 12 years of marriage she doesn't think it will work. So if that was my One True Love, what point is their to go on. So, No, I don't think a person has only One True Love.

i am a 51 yr old female who has had more than 1 true love in her life. my view is what you want at 19 is not what you want at 39 in a relationship and hopefully if you are in the same relationship it has grown with you as you grown . and then what you want after children are grown and gone is even different again. if you are as lucky as i have been you will have your true love with you. no matter what stage of life you are in i hope you have your true love with you now. GOD BLESS and good luck to all of you. if you don't have your true love don't give up and keep looking.

Female. True love sounds all movie like, but love is love. Not like, not lust, love. Since love means different things to different people it is open to interpretation. But to answer your question, from a personal point of view, yes you can have more than one 'true' love in your adult life.

There can be more than one true love. When one spouse dies, it is inconceiveable to me to think the one left will not fall in love again.
My husband died 7 years ago. Last year I found someone else I truly love. He and I will soon be getting married. It will be the 2nd marriage for him as well.

I would like to believe there is more than one true love. At least this should work better for those who are divorced and looking for someone else.

I believe that everything that has happened in my life led me to right now. right now, I am married to the most wonderful man in the whole world. We have been married five years, it is not the first marriage for either of us. We both think that we are made for on another. Go figure.

No, of course I don't believe there's only one "true" love. I have had several true loves, myself. Just because a relationship is over for whatever reason, doesn't make it any less "true".
