It's always best not to make the rounds through a family. Sooner or later it's going to backfire and you will lose everyone's respect. What are you going to do if you meet another family member and like him too? What if you start a relationship with this nephew and it doesn't work out? Would you just say "next" and go on? Too close for comfort I think.

You need to know all the well he's his nephew or he's my best friend . or I know him. Well in the real world if your single anything goes. This is life and lie's not a game. Who cares what your ex thinks. He shouldn't have been your ex if he really cares who you go otu with. SO tell him yea and enjoy the day with him. And if it works out hey maybe you and him may becomes gf/bf.

I think the correct answer will depend on the ages of everyone involved. If your ex-boyfriend is 21 for instance and his nephew is only 16........then you may have some serious issues to consider depending on YOUR age.

No..tell him no..it's best not to cross some lines. Also, that could affect their relationship to some degree..If you and the ex's nephew do not work out, you go your separate ways, but THEY are family forever....

You should go for it, just because you use to date him doesn't mean you can't date his nephew. I mean, if your friends and your ex-boyfriend understand than you won't have a bad reputation or anything.

You could always discuss your present situation with your former boyfriend if it makes you feel better.
Considering you now both have gone your separate ways, I don't really see the point though.
Do you feel the need to justify your actions to your ex?
Do you need to answer to him in any way?
At the end of the day, it's all up to you but it could make things tense, awkward & uncomfortable between your former lover & his nephew, especially if they are close.
