Most people tend to be driven by emotion and the need for instant gratification, sit back a little and think about what you want and how best to get there. Being involved with jerks and as you say uneducated men makes you unavailable to meet the right person. I know that sometimes being single sucks, but so does being in a dead end relationship.

you have not got the treatment or skills to help you avoid all that.I know I use to do the same thing. You got to have more self esteem and dignity pride and love your self more then you do. Someday you will get it all together and meet someone who will knock you off your feet and treat you well then you will say why did I pick loosers for so long in my life? I have waisted do much time. You need to learn the skills to help teach you better about your self.

Because we are attracted to what we know. If we've only known disfuntional, we are attracted to disfuntional relationships. I can only assume you come from a family who did the same.

i needed about two 1/2 years of therapy to deprogram myself. perhaps you may need that. like my therapist says, sick puppies attract sick puppies. then when i started to get my attitude adjusted she said, the rule of thumb is never date anyone you were with before therapy. those guys were attracted to the insecure, needy, co dependent version of you. hope that helps!
