The point is still yours. Even if you make contact with the ball, as long as you call it out before the other person returns the ball the point will be yours. If you don't touch the ball, it just helps keep contaversy down. But all in all, the point is yours because they hit it out.

You can't call a ball out verbally and then touch it before it bounces, you'll lose the point...
You have to leave the ball until it bounces, call it out then and then you may touch the ball with your racket or body.

If you do not touch it with your racket and it lands out and you call it out it is your point even though you may swing and totally miss the ball.

If you call it out and swing and miss the point is yours. You have to make the call.
