Are you talking about the new protocols that came out in June of 2006? I've taught an average of two classes a week on the new protocols since they came out.

I like them. They are simple and effective. Professional rescuers are still taught to take the pulse of an adult, but laypeople are not any longer.

Was there some specific issue you wanted to discuss?

I've heard that people don't do cpr anymore because of STD's...What's the new procedure?

It keeps changing, but I always think the key is effective, rather than correct.
