Remember the old adage about the stock market...PIGS get slaughtered, and if you lost a few bucks in the market in the past week, do what a lot of people did after 9/11...panic, and lose your shirt.

He just stating what's going on in the world, not dictating like the guy behind the curtain in OZ...sheeze!

Strange observation of the human condition...greed...supersized...like a pig at a trough.

I think most folks are just a little perturbed that he changed his tune so quickly.

Allen as Fed Chairman – Everything is calm, inflation is moderate, real estate bubble? What bubble?

Allen as a consultant – You know we’ve had a long period of growth, the signs of over expansion are everywhere – economies can’t grow to the sky…

It seems like Greenspan’s job as Fed Chairman was all about achieving stable economic growth, and for lack of a better phrase “polishing a turd” when bad new cropped up. And Greenspan did a masterful job coping with some major economic events.

I consider Greenspan now as a “global citizen” (It seems to me that he spends more time outside the US than in it). And that is fine, but his rhetoric has changed. He is far more out spoken about negative economic events. He has definitely put away his can of polish.
