Now that matters are getting dangerous for him on this issue, same for the Gonzales firing 8 U.S. Attorneys issue, he doesn't want to compromise his administration. He knows people are on to his scandals.

McClellan sounds like a really disenchanted guy-like many former Bush supporters who believed that Bush and his administration were honorable those who doesn't lie or risk the safe practices of our protection rigidity or the yank public. i think sorry for him - his hero has fallen so some distance in his and so on estimation after sorting out that Bush's administration has risked the lives of many public officials and led to the deaths of 1000's people infantrymen and civilians-because Bush's people concept they were proper and that the information did not count number even as it interfered with their neo-con agenda. Yep Bush must have fired Rove alongside with many others of his inner circle who refused to administration information and favourite doing issues "their way" no count number what the costs were.

They did. Richard Armatage was who it came down to, but there was really no leak. She had already been on the cover of a magazine and her husband had told reporter before that she worked for the CIA. She was not covert and the person who wrote the law that was supposed to have been violated said that Plame did not fit that law.

It all has the odor of Dick.........Nixon.
This time though,it's a helluva lot more dangerous. These guys play with lives.
And for the guy above who states it doesn't matter because nobody knew who Plame was before the leak, that's the whole point of the thing.

First off, Valerie Plame was NOT a covert agent. That is lie # 1. There could have been all kinds of internal investigations IF she had been covert. Since she was not, the president felt like he would save the time and money since no crime had been committed. Your question with the lie sort of makes me wonder why.

Undoubtedly, especially with the new development of the extraction of the prosecutors that oppose the Bush & Cheney dynasty. Osama Gonzales should be indicted next as the Bush fall guy.

This party is so corrupt it's a cruel joke. Bush stands by Cheney, Libby, Brownie,Rove, Rumsfeld, Gonzales and anyone else that does his will, except the American people.
He has sold out the country to Mexico and drug smugglers. I don't wish mercy on his soul.

He came into that office one year after the leak. Of course he doesn't know anything and anything he would know would be gossip anyway. Unless he was officially part of the investigation and had actual hands on knowledge he answered correctly. The folks in government have a language all to their own.
