I LOVE DONKIES!!! Doesn't mean I know a heckuva lot about them. A lot of their feed and care depends on their activity and pasture space. They can graze quite nicely on what's in the pasture and require only a small amount of pellets (available at the feed store and the folks there will know what feed is best). No more than a light flake of mixed hay a day. Keep their hooves trimmed on a regular basis. Keep them off rich feed. They can founder like any equine creature can. And they love peanuts (in the shell). Give only as treats and only about 8 - 10. Small amounts of carrots and apples. Keep them groomed, too. They are such little monkies and somehow manage to get a lot of debris under their hair. Keep them on a regular worming program. Make sure they have access to ample clean water. They love a good joke, too.

You have to take good care of your a$$.
you need to give your a$$ love.
make sure your a$$ always has plenty of fresh,clean water.
Your a$$ will like lot of attention.
Don't be afraid to ride the a$$, they like it!
TRy to become one with your a$$.

Much like a horse, pony, or other equine. They need good forage or non-moldy hay and fresh water free-choice.
