Not the deepest gorge but the deepest water level. I know it's variable depending on the season, what I'm trying to find out is what the deepest river is at any given time compared to the other rivers at the same time.
I've been told it's the Green River in Kentucky but can''t find any info to support or refute this.
If you can please provide URL (link) to web site that has this info.
Thanks,
Dave

The deepest river in the US might be considered the Truckee, which drains Lake Tahoe, the second-deepest lake in the US.

Otherwise I would suspect the Mississippi, but it would depend on the year and season since river level varies so much. At its deepest it's about 200 feet deep.

I believe it is currently the Green River in Utah, as it flows (or doesn't flow) through the Flaming Gorge. (Although using the criteria of a dammed river the Colorado is probably the deepest at Boulder Dam.)
