Well to properly answer that you need to know if your current MotherBoard will support 3.0. Some will and some wont. If you need to change the MB and the Processor the price is highly different than just changing the processor.

If your motherboard will support it all you need is the processor chip. Check pricewatch for the going prices.

If you need the motherboard and the processor check pricewatch for both items.
