i have a windows me and itunes needs a xp so what other method or program can i use to transfer my songs into my ipod?

Check out Winamp. It's Waaay better than iTunes. Download it for free from there website. Simple and no restrictions. Good luck!.

You could use Real Player or other similar music player. You could also put the iPod in disk mode and manually add songs.
